Chelsea are set to make their second Premier League outing of the season, as they travel just over 10 miles across the capital to face their bitter neighbours in Arsenal. Chelsea carry the momentum following their 3-0 triumph over Crystal Palace last weekend. Arsenal, on the other hand, had a very disappointing start to the campaign, losing to newly promoted Brentford.

Arsenal have won three of the last five meetings against Chelsea, with the Blues winning just one. Thomas Tuchel and his men will be looking to catch Mikel Arteta off guard and secure a second win of the season, but knowing our luck, Arteta will remember everything Pep Guardiola ever told him, just for one game.

As it is still very early days, so it’s a tough one to predict, but Chelsea being eight games unbeaten, including a victory over the Gunners in pre-season, gives the Blues the edge for today’s game. An all round excellent performance against Crystal Palace will provide a huge boost to the players, and should be enough to get us over the line.

Christian Pulisic Says New Chelsea Position Is 'Not My Favorite'

The gaffer has provided us with updates regarding who and what to expect at The Emirates. Tuchel has revealed that Christian Pulisic will not be in the squad after testing positive for Covid-19 earlier this week. As for the other boys, we may see N’Golo Kante, and either Hakim Ziyech as both stars have been training with no issues.

‘Hakim and N’Golo were both in training today and they had no problems. We need to have a more intense session tomorrow with them and the team before we decide but right now it seems positive that both can be in the squad for Sunday.’

There is also a chance that Romelu Lukaku could make an appearance, after the Belgian has been involved in an intensive training regime all week.

‘We have one more training session to go but the week was a heavy load for him because he was in the group with the late starters from our guys so it was an overload week so far.

‘Today [Friday] was lower intensity and tomorrow we have important training for the match but we are hoping he will be on the pitch for Sunday and things look like it.’

Predicted Lineup:

Mendy

Chalobah, Christensen, Rudiger

James, Jorginho, Kovacic, Alonso

Mount, Lukaku, Werner

I’ve taken a punt at Rom starting as the Belgian has trained well this week, and there is no better way to reintroduce him to the Chelsea faithful than a start against our bitter rivals. As for Werner, I solely just want him to prove the ‘fan’ who heckled at the open training this week wrong. I fancy Timo to score on Sunday. Jorginho wears the armband for me after what has been a stellar few months in his career, topped off with a UEFA Mens Player of the Year award nomination, alongside NG. Trev also makes the lineup after an incredible past two games for the youngster.

Players to watch:

Romelu Lukaku: Who else? If Lukaku does feature, everyone’s eyes will be fixated on the big man, and I don’t think I need to say much more.

Emile Smith Rowe: ESR impressed me against Brentford, and was the only Arsenal player that did, for that matter. We know this guy has talent in abundance, and I feel he could create a few problems for Chelsea. I hope I’m wrong, however.

Score prediction:

2-0 Chelsea, goals from Lukaku and Werner.
